Message from the Chief

As the Chief of Police of the Lumberton Township Police Department, I am honored to lead our agency of dedicated professionals who carry out the departments mission of building relationships within our diverse community while meeting the challenges of reducing crime and helping our residents feel safe. My appointment to Chief was on July 1, 2022 and I have been serving the Township of Lumberton since August 1996. Our police agency delivers a high level of service to our community and I am proud of the men and women who work together every day to deliver this high level of service. Body Cameras

The Lumberton Police Department as April 7, 2014 implemented the use of body cameras to its existing arsenal of cutting edge technology. In addition to having in-car video cameras in every patrol vehicle, the Lumberton Police Department has equipped officers with a Body Worn Camera System.  READ MORE

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER

The Lumberton Township Police Department is recruiting for

full time Police Officer(s). We are seeking highly energetic, enthusiastic, and hard-working individuals for our department.

You must be in possession of a PTC Police Officer Certification and/or Basic Special Police Officer II Certification.

NOTE: Paperwork must be picked up / dropped off by the applicant in person.

Applications can be picked up as follows at police headquarters:

Monday thru Friday

February 24, 2020 thru March 4, 2020 from 8:00am – 3:30pm

Completed Applications and a Resume must be turned in no later than 3:00 PM March 6, 2020

Telephone, fax, or email requests will not be entertained,  and do not send in resumes prior, they will not be accepted.

All successful candidates must pass a background investigation, psychological, medical, and drug screening tests.
